Monday afternoons 1:00-4:00 P.M. 

First time students (only) may arrange to borrow a beginner supply kit to use during the first 6-week class. Continuing students must obtain their own supplies; materials list given at registration. Register in person at least one week in advance; a portion of the class fee benefit the library. All skill levels welcome.

FLOWER PAINTING

Discover the joys and beauty of flower painting. We will go over the fine art of botanical painting to the more freestyle form of painting florals. You choose your focus and we can work with your style choice. Excellent reference books will be shared and specially chosen colors for color "recipes" will be shared as well. This class is intended for watercolorists, but oils and acrylic painters may benefit as well. Instructor will have her own painting samples to show and tell.

Painting Color Mixing

Whether you Oils, Acrylics or Watercolors, it is sometimes hard to find just the right color for your painting. Join us as we learn how to mix paints to get that perfect shade. This class is suitable for beginner's or the experienced painter looking for that  extra edge. The first half of the class period will be spent studying and mixing those sought after colors. The second half will be spent applying what you have learned in a painting of you choice. Textbook Required. MUST BRING painting supplies to first class. Pastels

Learn the possibilities in painting and drawing with pastels. Pastels are unique in that they are a dry medium and allow more of a drawing approach to your paintings. Topics covered will be various support papers and support used in pastels, various types of pastels and their usefulness in certain stages of a painting. Some drawing ability helpful. Materials list provided at first class.
